Following a successful career in sales, marketing and recruitment I established my own accountancy recruitment consultancy, Goldhawk Associates Ltd, in 2002. Over 12 years and during a difficult economic period, including the ‘credit crunch’ and the subsequent recession, the company grew to become highly successful and reputable within Kent and the London market. This culminated in an open market sale in 2014 and my departure to start something new.

After the honeymoon period following the sale of my company, I reflected on how I could use my experience for a new venture and decided to re-train as a professional ICF approved coach. My previous role as a managing director involved direct coaching of recruitment consultants and I had always enjoyed assisting candidates and clients to achieve their career and business aims. This experience enables me to support my new coaching clients in identifying goals and a strategy for achievement.

I have decided to focus on the recruitment sector, as this is a market I understand very well and have 35 years of experience gained from working within the London, Middle East and Kent markets.

I had previously used training courses in the past and found that they often did not always deliver to the specific needs of the individual consultants. I then decided to use another approach and decided to appoint a performance coach to work with my team. After a couple of sessions, I began to see a real difference in attitude, collaboration with the team and the confidence to make their own decisions.

My coaching clients range from start-up companies looking to take their first steps, small businesses looking to grow, recruitment consultants looking to improve their performance and supporting managing directors with their vision and long term strategy.

Traditionally external coaching/mentoring has tended to be used by larger organisations but there are many smaller and medium sized businesses seeing its benefit.
